NEAR KATHMANDU, NEPAL — People in Nepal want their farm animals to get medical care, but there aren’t nearly enough vets around to provide it. But the Nepali government and one American charity (Heifer Project International) train laypeople to take care of most animal ailments. In this story, we spend a day with one of these village animal health workers in a small village outside Kathmandu.
