Rats Trigger Famine in Nicaragua
This story originally aired on World Vision Report in May 2006.
RIO COCO, NICARAGUA — Residents in an isolated region of Nicaragua have been suffering from an acute food shortage in recent months. I accompanied a United Nations World Food Programme canoe convoy as it delivered emergency food aid to the people living along Nicaragua’s Rio Coco.
