Rural Women Fighting Cancer in Mexico

VERACRUZ, MEXICO — An alarming number of women in parts of rural Mexico don’t receive proper healthcare for many diseases such as cervical cancer. One of the reasons: Jealous husbands don’t want male doctors seeing or touching their wives’ bodies. Now, a group of women who aren’t certified as doctors or nurses are coming to their aid.
